Exciting news for fans of the outdoors, cutthroat competition, and homemade fish traps: Outlast is officially coming back for a third season.

Produced by Aggregate Films and BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions, Outlast drops 16 survivalists in the farthest reaches of the wilderness, each of them with a compelling story about why they absolutely must win the $1 million prize. And that’s where things get interesting: While most survival shows ask contestants to go it alone, the Outlast hopefuls have to split into teams of four and, well, outlast the others, using only a handful of survival tools and a team-built shelter to survive. Contestants can change teams at any time, but they must be part of a team to win — and whichever team survives the longest splits the cash. Strategic survival chaos ensues.
Outlast Season 3 is produced by Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Emma Ho for Aggregate Films, Ryan O’Dowd and Krystal Whitney for BBC Studios, and showrunner Mike Odair. Check back on Tudum for a premiere date — and in the meantime, make sure to catch up with Outlast Seasons 1 and 2.
