The search for brilliant stand-up superstars has only just begun. Funny AF with Kevin Hart is coming back.

After the hit comedy competition’s breakout first season took audiences deep into the world of comedy and crowned Ron Taylor its inaugural winner, Netflix announced that the series is officially returning for Season 2.

Hart tells Netflix, “I’m beyond excited that Funny AF is coming back for Season 2. This show is all about giving hungry, undiscovered comedians the kind of shot I was chasing when I started out — an uncensored stage, a real audience, and the chance to turn a dream into a career. The response to Season 1 has been incredible, and I can’t wait to get back out there, discover more phenomenal talent, and keep raising the bar for stand-up comedy.”

As in Season 1, Hart will mentor a brand-new group of rising comedians from across the country who will step into the spotlight with one goal: to make the same leap Hart once made and become a household name. Throughout the series, Hart is joined by fellow comedy heavyweights who help determine which comics advance through a gauntlet of challenging performances, offering a behind-the-curtain look at the pressure, triumphs, and occasional bombs that come with a stand-up career. The competition builds to a high-stakes live final round, where a global vote determines the ultimate winner.

Season 2 is expected to release in 2027, and it will include live episodes with real-time voting for Netflix members. The series is produced by Hartbeat and Alfred Street Industries. Executive producers are Kevin Hart; Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe (for Alfred Street Industries), Luke Kelly-Clyne, Meghan Hoffman, Jeff Clanagan (for Hartbeat), and Jenny Groom.
