Actor Steve Howey has a penchant for playing big-hearted goofballs: Reba McEntire’s lovable son-in-law in her eponymous 2000s TV series, Kate Hudson’s love interest in not one but two romantic comedies, and a football pro who is in touch with his feelings on New Girl. Howey’s characters often exude good vibes, but his recently announced role in Ransom Canyon Season 2 sounds like it’ll be a little more complex.
While we don’t know much yet about Staten Kirkland’s (Josh Duhamel) half-brother Levi (Howey), a mountain man of sorts who lives off the land, we’re anticipating more of the series’ usual passion and complex family dynamics.
