





The romantic dramedy Sliding Doors follows a woman named Helen (Gwyneth Paltrow) as she navigates two possible realities: one in which she misses a train, and another in which she narrowly makes it. The latter timeline sees Helen befriending James (John Hannah), a fellow passenger who just might change her life.
“Sometimes we are plonked into people’s lives when they just need to be cheered up and reassured,” he tells her. “We don’t know why. In your case, it’s my job.”
