For everyone who finished Season 1, shot of scotch midair, gobsmacked by the wintry finale’s cliff-hanger, you’re in luck: Season 2 of The Four Seasons has started production — and it’s headed to your screen this year.

Colman Domingo, Kerri Kenney, Tina Fey, Erika Henningsen, Marco Calvani and Will Forte on the set of ‘The Four Seasons’ Season 2.
This article contains major character or plot details.

The first season follows three couples — Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani) — comprising a longtime college friend group that’s upended when one of the couples breaks up. Nick and Anne’s divorce — and his new, much younger dental hygienist girlfriend Ginny (Erika Henningsen) — disrupts the group dynamic, unearthing long-simmering riffs in the others’ marriages and friendships and prompting the characters to take stock of how they’ve changed — and how they still need to. In these actors’ hands, the group weathers these stumbles and triumphs with the sense of humor that has made this cast household names. Set against four enviable vacations — to an upstate New York lake house, tropical eco-resort, leafy college campus, and snowy ski rental — The Four Seasons turns a cozy yet compassionate lens on the ups and downs of midlife, marriage, and friendship, flaws and all.

In the series’ penultimate episode, Nick suddenly dies in a car accident while on vacation with Ginny’s friends. That’s not the only surprise, however: When the ensemble convenes to mourn their friend, Ginny tells Anne she’s pregnant.

The Four Seasons, which Fey, Tracey Wigfield, and Lang Fisher adapted from the 1981 Alan Alda film by the same name, earned legions of fans because of how it resonates with people at all stages of life. As Fey describes it, The Four Seasons is a “love letter to long-term relationships.” Season 1 maintained the No. 1 spot on the English TV list for its first two weeks with a total of 24.4 million views.

What lies ahead for the group? Your questions will soon be answered when the new season debuts in 2026. Read more about the series’ renewal, rewatch Season 1, and stay tuned to Tudum for more information.
