On ‘Dated & Related,’ Everyone and Their Brother Is Single

It’s not dating your sibling — it’s your sibling dating.

Imagine you’re on a first date. The ambience is just right, and you’re on your second glass of bubbles. Your date leans in to whisper something cute in your ear. Just as sparks begin to fly, you notice something in your periphery: It’s your brother, sitting in the corner, watching you. No, this is not a scene from a fever dream you had once — it’s Dated & Related, a brand-new dating series in which pairs of siblings (and one enthusiastic set of cousins) see each other’s love lives up close and personal as they search for their soulmates.

In many ways, Dated & Related isn’t unlike your favorite chaotic dating shows: A group of sexy singles show up to a villa in the south of France, looking to pair up with other sexy singles. The key difference, of course, is that this time people arrive in pairs and just so happen to be related. Catch a glimpse of the entire cast in the brand new trailer.

So, who exactly are the pairs dating and relating? There are not-so-identical British twin brothers, life-of-the-party blonde sisters, hunky Italian cousins from Jersey, bombshell Iranian twins and so on. The idea is that there’s no one who knows you better than your sibling does, and therefore that sibling actually makes the most excellent wingperson, totally supportive and totally willing to call you on your bs. Whether or not that theory checks out remains to be seen, but Dated & Related promises a wild ride either way.

Dated & Related is hosted by Too Hot to Handle’s Melinda Berry — a perfect choice to navigate the chaos, as she’s got 14 siblings of her own. The 10-episode series premieres on Sept. 2.
